“A few years ago, after a life-changing diagnosis and several medical procedures, I was left low in spirit. The concept of moving forward was blanketed with a dense fog of isolation, grief, pain and unanswerable questions. My colleagues at Catholic Family Service helped me to emerge back into a place of hope with their understanding, encouragement and acceptance. I created a series of paintings that were inspired by the people – both staff and clients – that I have met at CFS. I wanted to capture the diversity that exists in the agency and the unique ways we touch the lives of others. I am proud that my work is now displayed in the waiting room in our Central Office for staff and clients to enjoy.”
