“At the end of September, I attended Catholic Family Service’s 60th anniversary celebration. I must say that it was much like going home and being reunited with family. My employment at Catholic Family Service from 2006 – 2012 was indeed rewarding and meaningful. Initially, I was employed as a provisional psychologist to complete the 1,500 counselling and supervision hours needed as part of the requirements to register as a psychologist in Alberta. Later, I was delighted to be hired on as a member of the counselling team at the CFS main office.
Many times, I’ve shared my reflections of the warmth and caring that radiates from Catholic Family Service – from the frontline welcome at the reception desk right through to the executive positions. I received excellent professional training and support and felt honored to be part of a team that served so many hurting Calgarians.
I am pleased to have this opportunity to communicate my heartfelt appreciation for all that Catholic Family Service has done for me and continues to do for so many in Calgary. Congratulations CFS on your 60 years of making Calgary a better place to live!”
