Counselling Services

For families, couples and individuals who find themselves in challenging financial situations, finding affordable and qualified counsellors can be difficult. Often, those who can least afford to pay are those who need help the most.

That is why Catholic Family Service offers professional individual and group counselling services to anyone in need, who lives in or around Calgary. Whether you need help coping with life challenges, relationship issues, social interactions, or clinical problems like depression, Catholic Family Service can help. We are committed to treating all clients with respect and compassion, and helping people from all faith and cultural backgrounds.

Who We Help

  • We counsel individuals, couples, and families.
  • We counsel people dealing with parent-child conflict, couple’s issues, depression, anxiety, and healing from trauma.
  • We offer counselling in a number of languages, and provide support with language-interpreted and specialized services through The Butterfly program for the Deaf and the hard-of-hearing and Multicultural Counselling.
  • We help adolescents and their families deal with the effects of sexual abuse and who are referred by the Calgary and Area Child and Family Services Authority.
  • We give couples preparing for marriage the support and information they will need to achieve a loving and lasting union through our Marriage Preparation Program.

Our services are available on-site in our main offices, in selected schools and in our community partners’ locations throughout the city.

Fees

No one in need is refused service based on their ability or inability to pay the fee. Payments for counselling are on a sliding scale.
