Innovative Community Initiatives
As part of Catholic Family Service’s strategic directions, we are committed to exploring and developing innovative community initiatives that are accessible and meet the needs of diverse communities.
Here are two examples:
- Resident Leadership is supported through the Bowness Neighbourhood Leadership Initiative. This Initiative promotes the growth of residents and community groups who want to take a leadership role to improve the quality of life in their community.
- Connecting to Aboriginal youth is provided through the Aboriginal Support Worker at the Calgary Achievement Centre for Youth. This position connects services to Aboriginal youth ages 15 to 24 who are at risk for not completing their education or employment goals.
